Information coming straight out of Nintendo's briefing has revealed that a brand new 2D side-scrolling Mario game is in the works for the 3DS!
"Although there is no logo here, we are planning to release a totally new side-scrolling action Super Mario in 2D as a key title for the Nintendo 3DS in the next fiscal year," Iwata said.
That's pretty much all there is to say at the moment unfortunately, but when there's more information we'll let you know :)
Apparently, "sources" close to Nintendo have revealed that the Japan and US sides of Nintendo are considering changing the name of the upcoming Wii U.
Confusion over the 3DS being a brand new console rather than just another version of the DS, is apparently what has led to this consideration. Nintendo have previously said that they have learnt from the 3DS launch, so changing the name of the console to differentiate between it and the Wii doesn't sound too crazy.

By now you're probably already aware that Resident Evil: Revelations takes place on a ship, but that wasn't the original idea. The original plan was to have a floating mansion at sea which would be the game's main location, however Capcom USA disliked the idea and forced the change.
"The concept for Revelations, it was actually just a floating mansion,” Capcom's community manager Seth Killian says. “That was the concept. It was just a mansion at sea. Capcom USA forced them to change it to a cruise ship.”
The European and North American eShop are getting in on some 3DS demo action. Starting tomorrow, both regions will be getting downloadable demos for upcoming games.

The Fatal Frame spin-off for the 3DS releasd in Japan on the 12th January as Shinrei Camera: Tsuiteru Techou is coming to North America, as Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir.
The game creates a personalized horror experience by using your own pictures and environments by utilising the built in camera and augmented reality capabilities. A 16-page AR book is included with the game, and it is this that the game uses to create the experience.

Retro Studios have hired a former Naughty Dog dev, and a former Vigil Games dev, known mostly for their work on Uncharted 3 and Darksiders respectively.
The former Naughty Dog worker, Eric Kozlowsky seems pretty excited about the project, and said on his blog;
"...I am going to work on another project that I am super excited about. I can't talk about it too much but if all goes well it might just be one of my crowning achievements as an artist...."

Rayman Origins came out a couple of months ago on the three home consoles, but the handheld 3DS version has been without a release date, until now.
Ubisoft have confirmed that the 3DS version of the game will be released in Europe on March 16th.
It's not yet confirmed if that's a worldwide release date, but as the consoles versions were all released worldwide within a few days, you surely wont have to wait long wherever you live.
